June 27, 2020

Looking forward to seeing you! Just a reminder we are open again this Wednesday 1 July for 5 days. 12 – 5 pm.  PLEASE NOTE – Chris and I will be attending our daughters wedding on Saturday 4th July  – the nursery and garden will be open – our friends who will be standing in and taking charge for us  will be keen to sell but unable to offer any advice!! Apologies – blame coronavirus for a rescheduled wedding! Avoid Saturday 4th if you have lots of questions !!!

Good to see so many customers returning!

June 7, 2020

Thanks to the overwhelming amount of customers who returned in the past week to visit during our new regime. We are planning to open again on the 1st five days of July. We trust that growing conditions will enable us to restock for then! We are also hoping to serve Teas in July – just have to wait and see if that will be allowed .    See you soon!

Opening 1st – 5th June inclusive. 12 noon – 5 pm.

May 30, 2020

Just a reminder that we will be open on Monday 1st June as we had originally planned under our new opening regime for 5 days.  Monday – Friday 12 noon – 5 pm.  Admission to the garden  £4 per adult and children are free.  Come and view the recently planted parterre garden – a new addition to High Garden.  Sorry but we are not able to open the tea rooms at the moment.  Please maintain the social distancing measures.

During these times whilst the Garden and Nursery cannot open, we will be posting pictures on our Instagram page to give you a glimpse of what is happening here – but hope that you will be able to visit us again before too long.

Stay safe and well – enjoy your garden!

Surprise, surprise – sorry we won’t be open…..

March 31, 2020

We are complying with Government guidelines and sadly we will not be opening the Garden and Nursery as we had planned to do for the last 6 months.

Hopefully we will be able to see you soon – check out the website – and hopefully before September.

Delayed Spring opening 2020 ??

March 24, 2020

After our winter break the Nursery has been somewhat streamlined and re-organised with a view to opening on 1st April, however ……… this of course now looks very unlikely.

Please check this website or call for further updates on 01626 899106.  Hopefully if April is a no go we would hope to be back for the !st May or is this just wishful thinking?

Happy gardening and keep safe and well.

Chris and Sharon

Exciting new YouTube channel – or what!?!?

February 11, 2020

As I have absolutely nothing to do this winter other than radically tidy the garden, re-design the set up of the Nursery and Car Park and start to develop a new formal area for vegetables, fruit and cut flowers –  I have decided to branch out into social media with a dynamic new YouTube channel entitled ‘The Inquisitive Gardener’.  The aim is to showcase interesting, unusual, different or quirky garden plants – both in our garden and our travels out and about. I have other ideas under development!  Watch this space and subscribe to my channel.  Thankyou

On the Nursery front, just a reminder we re-open on a reduced scale on 1st April 2020 at 12 noon until 5 p.m.  We are then open the first five days of every month from April – September inclusive.   The first five days are irrespective of which day of the week.  We will be selling a range of plants, the garden will be open and we will be serving creams teas and refreshments.

Hope to see you soon – both in person and on the new channel!!

Thanks

Chris and Sharon
